SUMMER ASSOCIATES

Program

Trucker Huss is seeking first- and second-year law school students to participate in our annual summer associate program in our San Francisco office. We frequently recruit associates coming out of this program.

Summer associates work on a variety of projects which may include preparing research memoranda and various types of transactional documents, and work on litigation matters. Summer associates may also have the opportunity to attend trustee meetings and court proceedings.

Work with attorneys who are not only respected experts in the field, but who are also sincerely interested in helping you make the most of your experience.

But don't take our word for it...

I enjoyed my experience working as a summer associate at Trucker Huss because I was able to learn about ERISA and employee benefits from their knowledgeable and experienced attorneys. Trucker Huss provided me mentorship, hands-on training, and plenty of opportunities to work on assignments that I was interested in. I am thankful to have worked with the passionate and supportive team at Trucker Huss, and I feel confident that this an excellent firm to start my career with.
Throughout my summer at Trucker Huss, I was exposed to the many different facets of ERISA work, from advising clients on newly published health care regulations to preparing for litigation. By end of the summer, I was eager to continue building a career practicing ERISA. My experience of working at Trucker Huss has been exactly what I was looking for: the opportunity to work on challenging, dynamic projects that are typically found in big firms combined with the collegial culture of a smaller firm.
During my summer at Trucker Huss, I experienced the many challenging and complicated aspects of ERISA work. I had the opportunity to work on projects in many different practice areas such as, health & welfare, qualified plans, executive compensation, and litigation. Directors and associates were eager to answer all of my questions and fully explain the legal reasoning behind their answers. I also participated in the firm’s social events where I had meaningful informal time with attorney at all levels. I left my summer knowing that Trucker Huss was exactly where I wanted to practice once I graduated law school.
