Stephanie’s practice is focused on multiemployer plans and retirement plans. She advises employers and multiemployer plans on issues regarding 401(k) plans, profit sharing plans, money purchase pension plans, traditional defined benefit plans, and plans of tax-exempt and governmental entities. Stephanie assists clients with drafting plan documents and amendments, employee communications, as well as plan committee charters, bylaws and resolutions. She assists with the review and negotiation of service provider agreements and has advised committees and trustees on oversight of plan service providers. She has also assisted with compliance issues related to investigations and audits by the Department of Labor (DOL) and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). She advises on and has obtained approval of corrective measures under the IRS’s Employee Plans Compliance Resolution System and the DOL’s Voluntary Fiduciary Correction Program.

Stephanie is active in the American Bar Association’s Joint Committee on Employee Benefits (JCEB). She is a Chapter Editor of Chapter 10, Fiduciary Responsibility, of the JCEB’s Employee Benefits Law Treatise and has presented on panels at the JCEB’s Midwinter Meeting. Stephanie has been selected as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers magazine in the area of employee benefits law, every year since 2019.

Prior to joining Trucker Huss, Stephanie advised multiemployer retirement and health and welfare plans, and public and private sector labor organizations. She has volunteered throughout her career for various pro bono organizations and served as Chair of the Executive Committee of the Labor & Employment Law Section of the Sacramento County Bar Association in 2020.

Stephanie graduated from University of California Davis School of Law in 2014. During law school, she received the Witkin Award in Immigration Law and Policy.
