Trucker Huss, APC is pleased to announce Freeman Levinrad presented at the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA) Virtual All Access Conference 2020 on November 13 and 16, 2020. Freeman presented in the following panel discussions:

• “Correcting DB Plan Errors – EPCRS Part I” – A close look at how EPCRS covers defined benefit issues, including certain rules only applicable to defined benefit plans. The section highlighted common plan errors and corrections, discussed issues that can be self-corrected and reviewed the VCP submission process.
• “DB EPCRS Case Studies Part II”–Attendees learned about real life case studies and examples, and the self-correction and VCP submission process. Panelists reviewed applicable EPCRS case studies as they apply to defined benefit plans.
• “Watch Out! – Trends in DOL and IRS Audits” – Panelists discussed how to best prepare for DOL or IRS inquiries, reviewed examination trends and initiatives and provide real life examples to help TPAs be better prepared to guide clients through the investigation/audit process.

Freeman focuses his practice in the area of retirement plans and advises clients on a variety of issues regarding the administration of 401(k), profit sharing, cash balance, and traditional defined benefit plans. He regularly works with multiemployer plans and plans of tax-exempt entities, public schools, and universities, including 403(b) and 457 plans.
