Trucker Huss APC is pleased to announce that Director Robert Gower was appointed to the Citizens Advisory Committee for the San Francisco County Transportation Authority (SFCTA).
The SFCTA’s Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) consists of 11 members of the public who represent a broad spectrum of transportation and community concerns. The committee’s mission is to assist the Transportation Authority by reflecting community values in the development of transportation programs and communicating information about the SFCTA’s mission and programs back to the community.
The SFCTA administers and oversees the delivery of the Proposition K (Prop K) half-cent local transportation sales tax program and New Expenditure Plan, which was passed by 75% of San Francisco voters in November 2003. The Authority was created in 1989 to administer Prop K’s predecessor, the Proposition B half-cent transportation sales tax program, which began in 1990 and continued until it was superseded by Prop K.
“I am excited to serve on the Citizens Advisory Committee for the SFCTA, and I look forward to representing the local community by expressing their transportation priorities and concerns,” stated Gower.
Gower concentrates his practice in all aspects of tax-qualified retirement plan design, compliance, and administration. He routinely works with defined benefit, cash balance, profit sharing, 401(k) and KSOP plans. Gower has wide-ranging experience in plan drafting, including plan documents, amendments, resolutions, and summary plan descriptions. He also assists plan sponsors in preparing committee charters and bylaws to help govern plan administration.
