Trucker Huss is pleased to announce that Robert Gower has been appointed President of the Western Pension & Benefits Council Governing Board. Robert previously served as the San Francisco Chapter President, has served on the Governing Board since 2023, and has been active in the organization for 14 years.
The Western Pension & Benefits Council (WP&BC) was founded in 1954 to address the educational needs of pension specialists. Through the years, WP&BC has expanded their scope and to include education opportunities for those with responsibilities in the health and welfare fields. Today, the WP&BC is recognized as one of the premier educational and professional organizations in the western United States for the dynamic field of employee benefits.

Robert concentrates his practice in fiduciary responsibility as well as tax-qualified retirement plan design, compliance, and administration. He routinely works with plan sponsors and fiduciaries to 401(k), defined benefit, cash balance, and profit sharing plans. Robert has been recognized as a Super Lawyer by the Northern California Super Lawyers publication since 2020. He was also awarded “Outstanding Volunteer” for his work from 2016 through 2018 with the Justice & Diversity Center (JDC) by the Bar Association of San Francisco.
