Zachary’s employee benefits practice is focused on qualified plans—including defined benefit, defined contribution, governmental, and multi-employer plans. Zachary enjoys working with qualified plan stakeholders to find solutions to common and novel issues arising under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974. He helps fiduciaries navigate the myriad of federal statutes and regulations that govern their obligations to qualified plans on matters such as governance, transactions, compliance, plan design and development.

Zachary attended the Virginia School of Law where he was an articles editor for the Virginia Journal of Social Policy & the Law and recipient of the Best Brief Award for his section’s writing class. Zachary also served on Virginia School of Law’s Employment Law Clinic during his third year of law school. The Virginia Access to Justice Commission named Zachary to the 2022 Pro Bono Service Honor Roll in appreciation of his voluntary pro bono service contributions in the 2020 to 2021 bar year.
