Virginia represents plan sponsors and fiduciaries in a wide variety of employee benefits litigation, including claims relating to pension plans, health and welfare plans, ESOPs, stock option plans and executive compensation arrangements. She has also counseled clients extensively in the areas of fiduciary responsibility, employee benefit plans, wage and hour issues, and fair employment practices. Virginia works closely with clients to provide advice and support in ERISA litigation, benefit claims and appeals, DOL investigations, fiduciary and prohibited transaction issues, and service provider agreement negotiations.
Virginia has co-authored several articles on current developments in ERISA litigation, including The Good, the Bad and the Ugly: Delegating Fiduciary Responsibility After Enron? (published in Employee Relations Law Journal, Summer 2004, Vol. 30, No. 1) and the 2006 and 2007 ERISA chapters for the A.B.A. Annual Review of Development in Business and Corporate Litigation (published by the American Bar Association, 2006 Ed. and 2007 Ed.).
