Ron focuses his practice primarily on all aspects of qualified retirement plans, 401(k) plans, 403(b) plans, multiemployer plans and Taft-Hartley plans. He works with clients regarding administrative issues; QDRO reviews; plan, SPD and amendment drafting; and various plan qualification matters. Ron also assists clients with responding to and negotiating the successful completion of IRS, DOL and PBGC plan audits. In addition, he prepares many applications on behalf of clients under the various IRS and DOL correction programs.
Ron frequently makes presentations on qualified retirement plan matters, including presentations on the provision of benefits to employees in same-sex relationships, to clients and professional organizations. His article, “Market Conditions Cause IRS to Allow One Time Adjustment in Substantially Equal Early Distributions Without Penalty Tax,” was published in the TIPS Employee Benefits Newsletter and ASPPA-ASAP.
