Katuri concentrates her practice on qualified retirement plans and health and welfare benefit plans. Katuri counsels clients on the design and tax-qualification of retirement plans and the taxation of employee benefits. In addition, Katuri assists clients with drafting plan documents, SPDs and plan amendments; analyzing plan administrative issues; reviewing and drafting QDROs; preparing IRS submissions; and resolving questions regarding compliance with ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code. Katuri also assists clients with health plan matters, including health care reform (Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010), HIPAA, COBRA, and cafeteria plans.
Katuri assisted in the preparation of the Francis J. Serbaroli article, “What HMOs and Health Plan Can Learn From Class Action Suits,” 234 N.Y.L.J. 63 (2005).
Katuri is the author of the regulatory and legislative update for the Western Pension & Benefits Council’s quarterly newsletter.
