Brad has been practicing in the employee benefits field for over thirty-five years and his practice is primarily in the areas of ERISA litigation, fiduciary responsibility matters, qualified pension and profit sharing plans and Department of Labor investigations. Brad serves as a private mediator in ERISA litigation matters and has been appointed as an Alternative Dispute Resolution Neutral in numerous ERISA cases by the United States District Court, Northern District of California.

Brad makes frequent presentations on ERISA litigation and fiduciary responsibility matters to groups including the Western Pension & Benefits Council, the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries, the National Institute of Pension Administrators, and the American Bar Association. Brad is a past President of the San Francisco Chapter of the Western Pension & Benefits Council and a past Co-Chairperson of the Government Affairs Committee of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries. Brad is a charter Fellow of the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel. Brad is a past member of the Board of Directors of ASPPA and is a past chair of the Employee Benefits Committee of the Section of Tort Trial & Insurance Practice of the American Bar Association. Brad has been listed in Best Lawyers in America since 1995, and has been named one of Northern California's "Super Lawyers" by Law & Politics magazine in 2004-2012. In 2007, 2008 and 2009, Brad was also named by Law & Politics as one of the top 100 attorneys in Northern California.
