Julie
Burbank Director
Julie
practices in all areas of employee
benefits and ERISA compliance. She
focuses her practice on health & welfare
benefit plans, Section 125 cafeteria
plans, short-term and long-term
disability plans (including California
Voluntary Disability Plans), COBRA,
HIPAA, USERRA, 401(k) plans and
qualified retirement plans. She also
represents clients in Department of
Labor investigations.
Julie is vice-chair of
the HIPAA, COBRA & State Insurance
Regulation Subcommittee of the American
Bar Association Section of Taxation
Employee Benefits Committee. She is a
frequent speaker and has made
presentations for the American Bar
Association, the American Society of
Pension Professionals and Actuaries, the
International Foundation of Employee
Benefit Plans, the International Society
of Certified Employee Benefits
Specialists and the San Francisco
Chapter of the Western Pension and
Benefits Conference. Her topics have
