Brad has been practicing in the employee benefits field since 1977 and his practice is primarily in the areas of ERISA litigation, fiduciary responsibility matters, qualified pension and profit sharing plans, Internal Revenue Service and Department of Labor audits and representation of plan
service providers. Brad serves as a private mediator in ERISA litigation matters and has been appointed as an Alternative Dispute Resolution Neutral in numerous ERISA cases by the United States District Court, Northern District of California.
Brad makes frequent presentations on ERISA litigation and fiduciary responsibility matters to groups including the Western Pension & Benefits Conference, the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries,
the National Institute of Pension
Administrators, the American Bar Association, the State Bar of California and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. Speaking Engagements
Brad is a past President of the San Francisco Chapter of the Western Pension & Benefits Conference and a past Co-Chairperson of the Government Affairs Committee of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries. Brad
is a charter Fellow of the American
College of Employee Benefits Counsel,
and currently serves on the Board of
Governors of the American College of
Employee Benefits Counsel. Brad is
a past member of the Board of Directors of ASPPA,
and is the immediate past chair of the Employee Benefits Committee of the Section of Tort Trial & Insurance Practice of the American Bar Association.
