Barbara B. Creed Of Counsel
Barbara
has more than 35 years of experience in
employee benefits issues and specializes
in all aspects of employee benefits.
Today, Barbara’s practice focuses
primarily on equity and executive
compensation, qualified retirement
plans, 401(k) plans, and IRS, DOL and
PBGC plan audits. Her clients include
large publicly-held companies and
complex multi-entity health care
organizations. She represents many
publicly-held companies on executive
compensation matters and has advised
clients on employee benefits aspects of
many mergers and acquisitions and
corporate reorganizations.
Barbara has lectured
frequently on employee benefits and
executive compensation topics for many
organizations, including the American
Law Institute-American Bar Association,
the Practising Law Institute, Tax
Executives Institute, and the Western
Pension and Benefits Conference. Barbara
is the author of ERISA Compliance:
Reporting and Disclosure, published by
the Practising Law Institute.
Barbara is a Charter Fellow of
the American College of Employee Benefits
Counsel, is listed in Best Lawyers in
America, and has been named a Northern
California “Super Lawyer” by Law & Politics
magazine, 2004 through 2007.
Barbara has been
involved in many community and
charitable activities, including serving
as a trustee of the over $9 billion
pension fund of the Episcopal Church in
the United States.
